I’ve made an Advent Calendar for the kids this year with a goodie for each day. It’s what I love about this season -the delight of anticipation. I wish I had something like this!
I’ve decided that Matthias’ growth rate has slowed down enough to knit him the sweater he’s wanted since 2008. After all, if he outgrows it now, it will fit my husband.
I’m translating it from German, and recharting the cables. It makes me wacky that the rope cable on the right goes all the way up to the shoulder but on the other side runs into the neck shaping! How poor. I know it’s a big design house to drive sales of the yarn, but as a designer I couldn’t let something like that into the world unless it was a piece where asymmetry was a design-feature.
