It’s just that I’m done my Christmas knitting and have knit something for myself and wanted to share! I have long wanted an infinity cowl but have proven rather bad at producing one. The yarn for this one, Washable Ewe, was bought in Florida two years ago to become a Deephaven cowl. It wasn’t a plump enough yarn for that glorious blend of texture and cable, though. So I waited and worried that they’d be out of fashion before I had time to really enjoy them.
It has been reborn as a Casu Cowl.
Perhaps it’s just me, perhaps it’s a knitter thing, but I seem to have a primal nostalgia for texture patterns on natural coloured yarn. As though in some ur-knitting memory we were all fisherfolk in villages along the coast of the UK or Scandinavia.
