This is what a moment looked like during our history learning today.
We are watching “Foundations of Western Civilization”, a Great Courses DVD lecture set. Sandra is taking notes, as required. Matthias is sketching, as permitted.
I plan to keep posting a visual record of our days – there are so few visuals of older homeschoolers. There are lots of chalk drawings, leap frog, and dress-up photos out there. Lots of adorableness. I’d like to do my bit to broaden the images.
Such earnest concentration! Thank you for sharing these snapshots of your days.
They’re adorable too! I’d love to have kept up the pictorial record of homeschooling as my kids got older, but they didn’t want to be recorded and put on display (their interpretation, not mine!). So thank you to you — and your teens.
Like you, I am photo documenting our homeschool. I have an 8th and 6th grader. My Instagram account is full of our day to day learning. I love seeing what families with older children are up to. We learn so much from one another.
A great snapshot of older concentration! Good idea to broaden the image.
Thanks for a peek into homeschooling older kids. It gets lonely out here.
I am very appreciative of your high school homeschooling photos. My daughter is just moving into high school and she hasn’t yet outgrown the middle school “wiggles”. You hold out hope that we might still get there!
I also love the pictures of your knitting. I just began knitting in August and can certainly appreciate your craftsmanship! (Found your blog via the Let’s homeschool high school blog hop.)
