Monday was our first day of homeschooling. Grades 10 and 8. We’re still working out the kinks in terms of pacing, and we’re not doing all our subjects this first week. I’m really interested to see how this year goes. I’ve planned what I think (hope) is the right mix to give the kids something to think about while also working on key skills.
As we go on, there’s been a better overlap with what I plan and what actually happens. I think I’m getting better at gauging this.
Ah! Love the tea cups! (Not that that was what your post was about, just thought I would throw that out there.)
Welcome back! Looking forward to seeing how your year goes. We’re doing 8 and 10 at our house, too. We’ve begun work this week while I continue to do some plan & prep. Monday the 17th is our ‘official’ start. I am cautiously optimistic (and uncharacteristically nervous) that I’ve found a good mix for us…at least I hope I have! I’m aiming for fluid and consistent HSing this year instead of trying to get perfect…
