Mandatory Reading

This time, it’s not a book review but a blog post from one of the most consistently wise homeschooling authors.

If you have taken charge of your children’s education, reading Julie Bogart’s article The secret to next year’s happiness: 3 tips to transform your homeschool this year! isn’t optional this summer. Go read it. I can tell you, after a decade of homeschooling, that it’s all true. Solid gold.

(Some day, just as my kids are done, I’ll be really good at this homeschooling gig.  Then it will be time to get a new gig.)

    Thank you.
I skimmed it the first time & put it out of my mind, but because of your nudge I revisited & considered the words. They were just what I needed to hear.

Reblogged this on from the stacks and commented:
I saw this from Braverwriter and initially skimmed it. Because Sarah nudged her readers I took a second look. We have homeschooled for 12 years, and some days (years?) have felt like I ran on a hamster wheel the entire time. I needed to review the three points of this article & refresh.
    It’s sound advice.

Mine have been back in public school a while now but I’m still homeschooling them in the stuff that matters!
