the water’s fine

cold bath post-run.
waiting for the brave moment when I decide to stop standing and sit down.
Lake Superior cold.
take my breath cold.

best thing to do despite the will-power needed.
there’s a lesson in there somewhere. probably hidden pretty deeply.

    There is probably something to it! As someone with minnesotan roots, “lake superior cold” is a powerful metaphor!

      Yes, it’s all about reducing the inflammation that a good workout leads to. Reduces swelling, keeps stiffness at bay, really reduces recovery time. Amazing and awesome results. But that’s what you know with your brain, you still have to convince your body to sit down.
