a quote and a question

‘Once you realize that the road is the goal and that you are always on the road, not to reach a goal, but to enjoy its beauty and its wisdom, life ceases to be a task and becomes natural and simple, in itself an ecstasy.”

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

When the journey seems like a task, how do you reconnect with the moments?

Sarah, This is one of my favorite quotes… so true and so hard to learn. When the journey is a trudge through mud, time to scale back our schedule, my expectations, commitments. Then rest, spend time outdoors, paint, read. It’s your life. You choose.

This quote made me laugh out loud. Earlier this morning I was thinking of you as I reflected on the fact that I am really ready to set some goals for myself and then keeping them alive long enough to achieve them.
I get that it’s all part of the road trip but sometimes I do enjoy arriving at a destination even if it is a stopover on a larger journey!
