First Day of School

I guess this also qualifies for Work In Progress Wednesday, doesn’t it? Homeschooling is definitely work and it is certainly in progress.

Day The First…of grade 5 and grade 7?! What? When did that happen?

Traditional first day ritual: Ur-Oma’s tea set and pancakes.

Sandra surprised me with a present at our breakfast festivities (does that make it a breakfest?). A lovely necklace and a handwritten note thanking me for all the teaching I do.

Awesome!

That’s so nice to have received a “teacher’s gift” and note! I must say, your home looks so fun and inviting. Yesterday the kids and I had our first “Tuesday Tea Time” of the year; it was kind of a flop 🙂 I tried poetry from an old anthology I picked up at our ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ and after three poems we were all gasping for fresh air. There’s always next week 🙂
