A hummingbird outside of my living room window, with a gorgeous sunset setting up in the background.
I’m sitting in my light-filled kitchen, my son to my right, reading on the couch and my girls running in and out of the house to water plants and play. Delightful!
Sunshine – it’s been pouring rain for days and days here on and off, and yesterday we had the most horrible storm.
On the flip side, my sister and I were driving back from Des Moines today and, well, if you’ve ever been to Iowa you already know that it’s all rolling fields with little trees here and there. When it was getting ready to rip thunder and lighting down on us, the clouds were the most lovely shades of blue and purple I’ve ever seen. On the prairie you can see the mist where the rain is coming towards you.
It’s still the most incredible thing to me, to watch the rain coming.
Just shows that being surrounded by, and being brought up to notice, beauty has infinite rewards. An excellent quote. Is the photo of a staircase banister?
Very cool thoughts. I can always find delight in the sunshine and the breeze. Nothing is better than being outside on a warm day with the cool ocean breeze blowing in from the west.
