    I think my simple philosophy can be made up of things I say to the kids.

    Walk, don’t run (you miss things when always fast)
    Look (closely at the small and tiny things they are important)
    Listen (not everything you need to hear is loud)
    Be kind (because being hateful is easy and easy isn’t always the better choice.

    air goes in and out, blood goes round and round. This is good, try to keep it that way.

    as adapted from a first aid lecture….. been my personal mantra for years (I was a chronic self-harmer) anything over this is considered a bonus
