I have no idea how to rest. I have been heard saying “but what do you do when you rest?” It is an authentic question! Probably my most restful is when i go for a walk up the hills or when i am doing yoga sporadically.

I read. And knit. And I can tell, after the way the year is going, that I’m not doing enough resting. I did, however, find a yoga studio and have gone twice. That helps me rest as well. I find that the grief of my mom’s passing this year almost demands I rest. For awhile I rested in an almost comatose state – no new books, no new nothing. Now I am back to the place where a bookstore sounds wonderful. Or the Library. Which is wonderful. Haven’t knitted in awhile, but must get back to it soon.
