Today, shotgunning Diet Pepsi is holding me up. But really, seriously, I signed up for my first 5 K run. Offically. So, now I have a carrot dangling at the end of my training stick!

Catching up on my blog roll!! It’s good checking in on everyone and seeing how things are going in their parts of the world.

My daughter and I are playing a wonderful game and I am living in the moment, not worrying about what comes next.

Reading “Refuse to Choose!: Use All of Your Interests, Passions, and Hobbies to Create the Life and Career of Your Dreams” by Barbara Sher.
The theme is people who move quickly between many interests, perhaps not “finishing” all the projects, but gaining value out of the process of engaging with them nonetheless. This is totally me. The world and hobbies fascinate me, and I dive in, learn fast, and then pop back up, look around, and decide if I’m ready to move on to something else.
Lately I’ve been struggling with excess free time and how to organize my dreams into doable packages yet still pursue them all, so this book was a very timely discovery.

I’ve not been feeling 100% lately, and what is lifting me up lately is little notes from friends that remind me of intertwined histories. I really enjoy your quotes, so thoughtfully chosen.

Like a kaleidoscope
patterns ever changing
never staying the same
so our life
is changing.
Speckled bands
drift to and fro
the wind blows
and we sway.
We can take the journey
embrace the unforgettable
collide with God’s plan -
the ever changing
kaleidoscope of life.
