I am finally posting this after signing up to be one of the five over at Quixotic Pixels. Why has it taken so long? Forgetfulness mixed with shyness. That old backstabbing voice, “Who am I to think you’ll like what I do enough to want some of it?”
Onward, without fear or recriminations!
Here’s how it works:
The first five people to leave a comment on this post will get something from me.
But in return, you have to do the same thing on your blog and make something for five other people. The details are as follows, and if you want to play, copy the following onto your blog and leave me a post:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. Whatcha get is whatcha get.
2. What I create will be just for you, with love.
3. It’ll be done this year (2010).
4. I will not give you any clue what it’s going to be. It will be something made in the real world and not something cyber. It may be weird or beautiful. Or it may be monstrous and annoying. Heck, I might bake something for you and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something strange.
6. In return, all you need to do is post this text on your blog and make 5 things for the first 5 to respond to your blog post.
7. Send your mailing address – after I contact you.

This sounds like a really fun idea. Whether or not I am in the first five, I’m posting this on my blog right now. I’m interested to see what kinds of responses I get.

Ooooo… I’m in time!!! I’d love to join in! I did this last year, not in blogland, just amongst friends, and it was lots of fun!
Thank you Sarah!
I love seeing all the things you make, by the way. I find you very inspiring.

Hey! I’ve been reading your blog a while now and yet never quite got round to commenting! This has dragged me out of the closet – although I’m not sure I’ll count as I’m in the UK! Sounds like fun, and I love the human connection in blog-land. Not sure what I’ll be able to make for others, I can bake and write, perhaps it will be poetry – does that count?
Thanks for all your inspiring and interesting home school posts. I love knowing what this crazy thing we do looks like for other families. I love the knitting pictures too, but anything other than a scarf is beyond me!

Ok! I have been reading your blog because I also homeschool. I found your blog when I was researching Vision Therapy. I also knit and love to see all your beautiful projects!

I posted it on my blog right away. I’ve been publicizing the whole concept on facebook and so far have two takers–one of them my sister feeling sorry for me, I think. I had hoped for a bit more action. LOL
For some reason the link attached to my name goes back to your blog instead of to mine. I think I’ve fixed it in this comment. Let’s see
